1. Dividing your storage space. Try to arrange your space into classified sections and sort things on your shelves and in your closets by grouping them accordingly. It will create more space in your closet and on your shelves. Also, you will be able to do your cleaning quicker. Consider adding hooks on the walls to enable you to store shoes, bags, belts and other items along these lines, so they don't lie on the floor.2. Create storage boxes. Set up boxes that can accommodate things that you have to keep and those things that you feel like throwing away. Once you have categorized all items, and your floor is clear, then decide what you are going to keep and what you are going to get rid of. Doing this will enable you to place the items to dispose of in their respective boxes and those to retain in your "to keep" boxes. You don't necessarily need to dump items that you do not use. You also have the option to donate them to the needy. This includes things like clothes that you have not worn for months or even years but are still useful, so there is no need to keep them. For a better organization of your bedroom, dispose of these items so that they don't take up space.
A bay window is probably the only thing that is missing in my own room! (Sob sob.) But I helped many of my friends design their bay window, and they were quite happy with the suggestions I gave. There are many bay window seat plans that you can choose from depending on the styling of the rest of your bedroom. But one common tip I can give is to have a storage built in the bay window seat. You can either have a drawer under your bay window seat that you can pull out, or you can have a lift-up seat. A number of things can go into this. My best friend uses it to store her extra (and extra expensive!) footwear. It stays clean and moisture free. If you are not much of a footwear person, how about storing the other set of curtains I talked about in the previous paragraph? You can even keep old books in it. Finally, the things that go to decorate your bay window itself - like lace curtains, cushions, etc., can go under the bay window seat.
The focal point of any bedroom is obviously the bed. While furnishing a small bedroom, keep in mind that the bed is also the biggest space occupying object in the room, hence a smaller but comfortable bed is the right furniture in a small bedroom to create the illusion of space. Buying a low-level bed is another way of making the bed seem smaller than it actually is. For kids' bedroom, you can have bunk beds and chests cum tables for storage.
Designer or non-designer? Some of the most popular household brands today include South Shore, Modus Nevis, Prepac, Young American, and American Drew. When it comes to designer bedroom furniture sets, most of your guests won't notice whether something is designer or not - but they will notice when your bedroom set is good quality. Generally speaking, better quality sets will cost you more but will also last you longer.
Bedrooms are the most personal spaces in our respective houses. It is the one place in the entire house which is completely your own. You can decorate it the way you want, choose the furniture style you want, have curtains, drapes or blinds, have a kingly royal bed or a funky bunk bed. But just as you are responsible to furnish and beautify your bedroom, you are also responsible for the mess that is created in your bedroom! We always keep buying things we need, and things we want (more the latter than the former actually...!). But when we decorate our rooms, we seldom think of where all that stuff is going to go!
Are you bored of the same old monochromatic walls, and wish to give your bedroom that much-needed makeover? Well, then you'll be surprised at the number of options out there when it comes to renovating the walls of your bedroom. You can go for creative, unusual designs, or stick to a classic look. Bedrooms for young women should be vibrant. Colorful walls, contemporary furniture, and delicate accessories should dominate the interior design. While every woman is going to have her own preferences in regard to color, and the basic appeal of her room, the overall layout should come across as lively and yet, not too loud. You can experiment with colors yes, but ensure that the walls don't become an eyesore. Avoid having a solid theme, so that you can make alterations as and when necessary.
Styles: The style you choose for your set will set the tone for your bedroom. Do you want something practical, fun, light like a storage bedroom set? Are you looking for something traditional like a four-poster bed set? Maybe a bed set with an upholstered headboard? Something modern that is platform-style which is low to the ground? Knowing what style you prefer will help you make a decision more quickly.
